30 customers Saturday noon, hit the right kelp paddy twice. 186 Yellowfin tuna and 120 Dorado 10 to 18LBS. We could have caught a lot more but one had to (take the hook out (2) get one's tag (3) obtain a staple gun (4) put in staples if gun was empty! This all took a lot of valuable fish time away from the rail. The Crew was swamped! They were very helpful; their experience shinned through and makes the difference between normal and excellent. I think Billy, Gavin and Roman, never put their gaffs down for more than 3 straight hours, and then it was only to untangle a fish or to cast someone out. Even the Chef got in on the action, boy that Johnny is quick and accurate with the gaff. Blood everywhere, Fish box and two trash cans FULL of Fish X 4 times Everyone had all the Yellowfin Tuna and Dorado that they wanted. Fish count was very FAT! The boat was pulling a wheelie, with both fish holds near full. Next: Traveled all night and a few hours Sunday morning North West to Cortez Bank. Waves were breaking on shallows, pretty neat to see. Three or four anchor jobs produced zero, we got some NICE white fish and rock fish. Then, about 3 pm hit the right spot. Bonanza! Full speed hook-ups again! 20 Bluefin tuna, 10 Dodo's and about 70 12 lbs to about 30 lbs Yellowtails. We had beautiful, strong bait, wonderful bunch 30 guys. Too much food AND football all day Saturday and all day Sunday. Life is good. I cannot wait to get out on that Sea Adventure 80 again. When can you go? Sooner is better? Just let me know and were on!
